Pre-K to Adult

Time: 30 minutes
Dates: Monday - Friday
Ages: Pre-K and up
Group Size: Max. 200 per day
Cost: $7.50 per child; $10.50 per adult
Prices include Zoo admission.
One adult FREE per 10 children.

Animals Have Class
This popular program answers such questions as, "What makes a bird a bird?" and "How are mammals different than reptiles?" Easily adapted to all age levels.

Rainforest Adventures:  What makes rainforests so special?  Students will learn about the rainforests of the world as they meet real rainforest animals.  Learn reasons this important ecosystem is threatened and ways we can help save it.

Florida Natives:  Meet some of the wonderful animals that share our state, including some you might see in your own backyard.  This encounter features Florida's diverse wildlife including alligators, opossums, or gopher tortoises.  Learn why it is imperative that we become stewards of our state in order to save habitat for these natives.

Animals Around the World
What animals live where? In this around-the-world-in-30-minutes presentation you'll discover animals from around the globe.

Really Radical Reptiles
Everyone loves reptiles--don't they? This is a wonderful program for those who love reptiles, but even a better program for those who don't!

Creatures of the Night
Fascinating night life comes to light during this adventure with several nocturnal denizens.  Discover amazing characteristics and adaptations that have allowed these animals to be successful in the dark  Representatives might include a kinkajou, frog, or screech owl.

Pre-K through 1st Grade

Students Pre-K through 1st grade can experience one of the following 30 minute programs that incorporates animals, biofacts and some interactive activities.

Animals in Action
Animals move in many ways. How many can you think of? How many can you imitate? Discover all the right moves and get moving during this lively presentation!

What's for Lunch
From fruit to leaves to bugs to seeds to--other animals. Different animals eat different things, and looking at their teeth or beaks will show you how they do it!

Wings of America

Auditorium Program for 2nd thru 8th grade:

Ever wonder how the bald eagle became the national symbol of the United States of America? Did you know it was almost the turkey? What does it mean when the eagle's head faces the arrows on the Presidential Seal? Did you know a bald eagle successfully fought in 36 battles during the Civil War and won the respect of General Grant and General Sherman? The eagle is found on our money, ball teams and even the NASA space program. Come explore the role of the bald eagle throughout history. You'll also get to meet a live bald eagle up close - all in our new auditorium program, Wings of America!

Ages: 2nd thru 8th Grade
