Bright Futures

Bright Futures

High School Students 9th–12th grade looking to complete their 100 hours of community service at the zoo.

Bright Futures Scholarship volunteers can be found doing a variety of tasks here at the Zoo! A Bright Futures volunteer's main priority is engaging with Zoo guests at several different activity stations throughout the Zoo. These include animal biofacts and interactive games to help Zoo guests learn more about wildlife. Volunteers may also be asked to participate with various conservation day efforts, such as World Rhino Day, Endangered Species Day, and more! This is an exciting opportunity for those that enjoy taking with others and interacting with people.

Volunteering can be done on Saturdays and during school breaks. Volunteering is available for two, two hour shifts on volunteer days. Volunteers can sign up for one shift or two shifts with a lunch break in between. Volunteers will be educating about wildlife at the different stations in the Zoo, but there will be no direct contact with the animals.
