Experience Scout Nights at the Zoo

Camp out in the company of the Zoo’s wildest or spend the night in the Discovery Center after a flashlight tour of the grounds—the action never stops on an overnight adventure at the Zoo.

Girl Scout Snooze at the Zoo

Spend the night in the Wayne M. Densch Discovery Center. Experience up-close animal encounters and a flashlight tour of the Zoo, then it’s time for an evening snack. Afterward, it’s lights-out and a movie you can enjoy right from your sleeping bag. Wake to the early morning sounds of the Zoo and a continental breakfast before heading out to be the first guests to greet the animals! You do not need a Qualified Outdoor Skills trained person to attend this event, everyone sleeps indoors.

Arrival: 7:00 p.m.

Departure: 9:00 a.m. the next day

Cost: $35 per person

Reservations: Reservations are required at least three weeks in advance. Space is limited. Children must be five years or older. Please complete the reservation request form. Girl Scout Wild Night Camping Adventure  

Pack your camping gear and get to the Zoo for a safari under the stars. Be sure to bring your tent, sleeping bag, insect repellent, flashlights, and anything else you’ll need throughout the night, as well as food and beverages since campers are responsible for their own dinners. Set up camp by the Rainforest Pavilion and enjoy a wild nighttime adventure surrounded by nature and wildlife. In the morning, enjoy a continental breakfast and an early morning visit in the Zoo. You must have a Qualified Outdoor Skills trained person to attend this event. All participants are sleeping in tents and preparing their own dinner.

Arrival: 4:00 p.m.

Departure: 9:00 a.m. the next day

Cost: $25 per person
