Going Green 101
Do you know why it is so important we conserve all of earth's valuable resources? Going Green 101 uses fun, interactive games to teach students about the importance of resource conservation and the three R's - Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Meet an animal who is affected by our impact on the environment. Students will have fun while being empowered with simple ways they can personally contribute to creating a healthy environment for generations to come.

Take the "Recycling for the Rainforest" challenge!
Use the knowledge learned during the presetnation to implement an aluminum can recycling contest between class or grade levels. The Zoo will recycle the collection of cans from the contest. The winning class/grade will receive free tickets to the Zoo and the money received from the school's recycling efforts will go toward purchasing a plot of rainforest in South America.*
*For the contest a minimum of 100 pounds of aluminum cans must be met.
