See and Do the Central Florida Zoo!

Situated within a natural wetland along the shores of Lake Monroe, the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is a half day family adventure with something for everyone. With more than 400 animals, and an assortment of gardens and plantings, guests will surely get to explore, learn and be inspired to protect wildlife & wild places.

The Zoo is proud to offer free parking and two free electric car charging stations, as well as ample handicap parking. 

Start your visit at our Admissions window where you can purchase tickets to the Zoo as well the train and carousel, schedule a rhino encounter, or purchase a giraffe feeding using your credit card. You can also get your tickets for ZOOm Air Adventure Park at the Zoo's Admissions window!

Our Admissions window is also where you can rent wagons ($10.00) for pulling small children around the Zoo in comfort & style. The Zoo offers a limited number of manual wheelchairs for rental ($7.00) and a motorized scooter (when available for $20.00). All rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.

Prior to the Zoo's entrance, there are free picnic areas for the enjoyment of our guests on a first-come, first-served basis. You are welcome to bring your own food to enjoy in this area. Outside food is not allowed in the Zoo. No grills of any kind are allowed on Zoo property. Guests are allowed to bring bottled water into the Zoo.

Pack your towel and bring your flip-flops and swimsuit to cool-off in the Wharton-Smith Tropical Splash Ground (10 AM - 4 PM daily, weather permitting). 

Do not miss your chance to touch, and even feed, our goats, llama, alpaca and rooster in our Barnyard Buddies Children’s Zoo. Feeding begins at 11am, while supplies last. Feed can be purchased in the ZOOfari Outpost Gift Shop, where you can also find unique gifts to remember your visit.  

Make time to cool off in our Herpetarium and see our exciting collection of venomous and non-venomous reptiles, including exotic and native species.

For your convenience we offer onsite concessions, located near the Splash Pad.

Have a group of 15 or more paying guests? The Zoo is happy to offer Group Rates.


Zoo Accessibility

Service animals are welcome at the Zoo. If you are planning to visit the Zoo with your service animal, please read our Guidelines for Service Animals in advance.

Please leave your pets at home - it is against the law to leave your pet in your car. 


 

No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed on property. 

The Zoo is a smoke-free facility. For the safety and health of our animals and guests, smoking and vaping are not allowed within the park.
