Florida Arts

florida artsThe Central Florida Zoo been awarded a grant from the Florida Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) Science Museum Grant. Designated for general operating support, funds from the DCA grant will be used to support educational programs and printed materials for the Zoo.  As one of Florida’s natural education and conservation resources, the Zoo provides innovative programs for over 30,000 school children annually.  Funds from this grant are used to assist the education department staff in designing and implementing programs.  These programs complement curriculums and assist students in meeting the Florida State Standards.  Funds from this grant also support the production of numerous educational print materials such as the Docent Training Manual, newsletter and brochures.
