ZOO Run History

Through the continued financial support provided by SCSFHOG, the Zoo has been able to keep the Aerie maintained for the public since July 4th, 1992. We were given the honor of naming the first eagles to call the Aerie home. Our eagles named Harley and Davidson were rescued and rehabilitated at the Zoo. As they passed on, they were replaced with a second generation of our legacy, our current resident eagles, Spirit and Glory. All four eagles and would not have survived without the diligent efforts of the park caregivers and of course the dedication of SCSFHOG to support them.

Seminole Chapter Sanford Florida Harley Owners Group (SCSFHOG)

has earned the distinction of being the longest running sponsor of the Central Florida Zoo. We will continue to sponsor the Zoo's American Bald Eagle Exhibit and support our country's symbol of freedom with the 23rd Annual Zoo Run on February 28, 2016.

History of the Eagles:

Through the continued financial support provided by SCSFHOG, the Zoo has been able to keep the exhibit maintained for the public since July 4th 1992.  We were given the honor of naming the first eagles to call the zoo their home.  The eagles named Harley and Davidson were rescued and rehabilitated at the Zoo.  Harley had passed away and was replaced by Spirit.  When Spirit passed away several years ago she was replaced by Glory. Glory (female) Davidson (male). Glory came to the zoo in December 2004, and is estimated to be a little over 10 years old.  Davidson came here in February 1996 and is estimated to be just over 20 years old.
