Zoo Trips

Central Florida Zoo presents...
Exploring South Africa, Victoria Falls & Botswana

September 28 - October 11,2016

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens wants to take people beyond its habitats to discover where some of their favorite animals live in the wild! The Traveling with the Zoo program is heading to Africa for the second time and will be an exciting opportunity to experience life on the wild side. Guests will visit South Africa, Victoria Falls and Botswana with the option to add on Dubai.

The all-inclusive excursions include being escorted by a Zoo naturalist who will guide travelers through their tour. Reservations for the trip are still available, but space is limited. Zoo Director David Tetzlaff will guide this year’s trip in September. During his 39 year career at the Naples Zoo and now the Central Florida Zoo, he has visited Africa five times and has extensive knowledge about the amazing wildlife found there. His goal will be to introduce participants to the diversity of wildlife, habitats and the culture of this fascinating continent.

Experience the thrill of seeing the “big five” of Africa animals: lions, Cape buffalo, rhinoceros, elephants, and leopards. As the trip progresses a new world will open as you begin to discover the variety of creatures and vegetation in your surroundings as well as the people and their culture.

Highlights include: Cape Town, Table Mountain, Stellenbosch, Entabeni Conservancy, Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park, and seven wildlife safaris!
