50 Years of Memories

Share your Zoo Stories & Photos!

Welcoming All to the Wild

On July 4, 1975, the Central Florida Zoo opened its gates at its current location. With a handful of animals and a deep love of the wild, the Central Florida Zoo helped provide deeply memorable experiences to the community and inspire generations of animal lovers to keep coming back. We’d love to share your stories and photos!

Share your memories with us below, and we’ll feature a number of entries on our social media channels, emails, website, and within the Zoo over the course of the next year as we celebrate 50 years of Welcoming All to the Wild.
