Take a Ride on The Champion Miniature Train
Upon arrival at the Zoo, you’ll notice our Wharton-Smith Train Depot, home of our one-quarter scale model of a real Atlantic Coast Line Railroad streamliner, The Champion!
Loved by visitors of all ages, the authentic replication brings guests on a loop around the Zoo’s property through natural Florida landscaping, across realistic crossings and back into the depot near the entrance to the Zoo.
Daily departures 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., approximately every 30 minutes
The train will not operate when it is raining
Tickets are available for purchase at the front gate, giraffe feedings, and gift shop.
