Bright Futures

High school students 9th–12th grade

Students working to qualify for Bright Futures scholarships can complete their volunteer hours requirements at the Zoo.

Teen Team

Youth ages 13–17

A unique learning experience for teenagers, our Teen Team gives kids ages 13 to 17 a chance to learn more about wildlife while gaining valuable skills and experience that will help them later in life.

Zoo Interpreter

Adults 18 and older

Zoo ambassadors volunteer in our Giraffe, Florida Black Bear, and Barnyard Buddies locations.

Docent

Adults 18 and older

Promote learning and inspire visitors towards conserving wildlife while volunteering while presenting educational programs.

Zoo Crew

Adults 18 and older

Zoo Crew volunteers come out on either a one-time or periodic basis to assist Zoo events like Asian Lantern Festival, Zoo Boo Bash, Brews at the Zoo, Hippity Hop, and more.

Volunteer Service Groups

Is your organization looking for an opportunity to give back to the community? Your group can assist the Zoo with projects and special events during a group community outreach day.

Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation

Adults 18 and older

Looking for an offsite adventure? Our Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation in Lake County, just a few miles from the Zoo, lets you contribute to our snake conservation projects as a dedicated volunteer.
