Veterinary Department Externship
Under the guidance of Zoo’s veterinary staff, veterinary student externs will participate in daily medical rounds of the Zoo’s animals, while having the opportunity to practice making diagnoses and offering treatment recommendations.

OCIC interns work alongside our animal care specialists as they learn about animal husbandry, behavior, dietary requirements, and species management.

Animal Department Internship
Animal Department interns work alongside our animal care specialists as they learn about animal husbandry, behavior, dietary requirements, operant conditioning training, enrichment, animal restraint, and species management.

Education Department interns assist the Zoo teacher team with education programs at the Zoo.
