The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens has been a part of the Central Florida community since the early 1920’s and has been in its current location since 1975. As a part of the community we have helped to create memories for so many families in Central Florida whether it was through a visit to the Zoo, an education program, special event, an outreach program, or seeing an animal on our social media. And now, we are calling on our generous community again as we look to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and help us sustain through what uncertainty lies ahead.
We were happy to welcome our community back into the Zoo on May 11th after a nearly 8-week closure. Although we are now open to the public, we are still reeling from the immense economic impact we have endured because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our closure during one of the busiest times of year, along with our limited capacity restrictions now that we are open has amounted to a loss of $1.5 million. A donation to the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens Relief Fund will provide us with the critical funding we need right now. The Zoo remains committed to providing exceptional animal care, engaging programming, high quality customer service and experiences that excite and inspire adults and children to learn and act on behalf of wildlife. But it is only with your help and investment that we can remain an institution in Central Florida.
Because there is no Zoo without you! We hope you will please consider making a gift today.
Exciting news! We can now accept donations via PayPal!
