America Recycles Day

November 15, 2018

09:00:00 - 17:00:00

America Recycles Day

This year, we’re celebrating America Recycles Day by partnering with Southeastern Data and inviting our Central Florida community to bring your old, unwanted electronics to the Zoo for proper disposal. To show our appreciation, recyclers will receive a single day Zoo admission ticket for each acceptable item donated. (Limit four. Tickets are valid through December 31, 2018.)

E-waste collection is a one-day event on Thursday, November 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A drop-off location will be set up at the front of the Zoo near the admissions window.

A complete list of acceptable items may be found Southeastern Data Fact Sheet.

Items we cannot accept include:

  • CRT (large) monitors
  • Tube or projection televisions
  • Non-working flat panel televisions
  • Credit card readers
  • Air conditioners
  • Oil
  • Liquids
  • Chemicals
  • Gas
  • Freon
  • Light bulbs
  • Car batteries
