Beach Cleanup

June 8, 2019

07:00:00 - 09:00:00

6656 S. Atlantic Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, 32169

Beach Cleanup

We’re inviting you to continue celebrating Party For the Planet with us! The Association of Zoos & Aquariums has challenged facilities across the country to Spring Into Action and take action to help local communities.

June 8 is World Oceans Day and our oceans need help now more than ever! Florida has a long coast of beaches full of litter, and we need volunteers to help make an impact.

Join the Zoo’s Dream Team in Volusia County at Bethune Beach, where we’ll pick up pollution and make a difference for our Central Florida community.

Saturday, June 8
7 AM to 9 AM

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, eighty percent of the pollution found in our oceans begins on land. We can take action by reducing our waste and committing to using reusable bags, water bottles, tupperware, and more. The less single-use plastic produced, the better!
