World Wildlife Day

March 2, 2024

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

World Wildlife Day

The Zoo welcomes you in celebration of World Wildlife Day on Saturday, March 2!

It’s a great opportunity to learn more about our planet and the incredible breadth of wildlife that call it home.

World Wildlife Day was founded at the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in 1973.

Because so many of our animal residents have been impacted by the wildlife trade, we’d like to tell you a bit more about their stories!

Our bears, tortoises, cougar, monkeys, many of our snakes and more have come to find their home with us through rescue or confiscation from illegal wildlife trade.

Celebrate our planet’s amazing wildlife and learn how YOU can to take action to protect it.

Animal Keeper Chats
Amazing Reptiles! Show
Animal Ambassador Presentation
Information Stations including a S.A.F.E. Program table for the radiated tortoise

The Zoo will open to the public at 9 a.m., and the World Wildlife Day celebration will continue until 3 p.m.

This event is included in general Zoo admission.

For more information, call 407-323-4450 ext. 127 or email Volunteers@centralfloridazoo.org.
