Homeschool families can experience a wide variety of interactive programs at the Zoo, where the classroom comes to life! Up close animal encounters, games, crafts, and activities are all part of this exciting learning environment. Choose from a variety of homeschool ZOOventure family workshops for children of all ages and adults.

Hocus pocus and spells abound as we search for unusual wildlife and work our magic to help save the planet.

 

March 27, 2019:  Zoo Keeping 101

So, you want to be a Zoo Keeper? Join us to discover what it takes to care for animal s at the zoo. Whatever the weather, Zoo Keepers are on duty and taking care of the animals is a big job! How does it start? Where do you begin? It’s time to get started in Zoo Keeping 101.

 

April 24, 2019:  Wildlife Heroes

It’s wildlife heroes to the rescue! Celebrate Earth Day at the Zoo and discover how little changes can make a big difference. Meet amazing animals from around the world and learn how you can be a hero for wildlife!

 

May 22, 2019:  Aquatic Explorations

Peer beneath the water’s surface and discover a whole new world of animal life. Join us as we explore the underwater world of aquatic ecosystems and how oil spills affect these habitats.

 

Program Registration

Registration is required at least one week in advance. Program size is limited. Classes are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of students is not met one week prior to program date.
