Improvements to the Barnyard Buddies Children’s Zoo will begin on Monday, September 17 and continue through mid-October.
To ensure both animal and guest safety, the old boardwalk planks and railings will be removed and replaced.
During the construction the ZOOfari Gift Shop will be closed and a temporary pop-up gift shop will be located inside the Wayne M. Densch Discovery Center.
The Barnyard Buddies Children’s Zoo will also be closed and feeding of the animals will be suspended until construction is complete.
Guests can expect to see construction workers in the area in front of the Barnyard and also transporting materials between the Barnyard and the Flight Field. The Flying High! show will be cancelled during the construction as well.
