Indigo Program 

Learn all about the eastern indigo snake and the OCIC’s reintroduction program! Our expert staff will teach you everything you want to know about these emperors of the forest, and you will get to interact with one of our very special indigos! Add our striped newt repatriation program to your presentation, and you will also get to meet Fig, our ambassador newt! 

Program Details: 

  • 1-1.5hour Presentation – $200* 
  • All Day Booth Set-Up – $300*

Florida’s Venomous Snakes 

See Florida’s native venomous snakes up close and learn all about these amazing snakes and how we can safely live alongside them! Get comfortable identifying venomous snakes from non-venomous ones and discover why both kinds of snakes are essential to our environment. 

Program Details: 

  • 2 Hour Presentation includes 4 of Florida’s native venomous snakes – $400* 
  • All Day Booth Set-Up includes all 6 of Florida’s native venomous snakes – $600* 
  • *Price does not include our travel fee and will vary depending on location. 

 

Spiders 

Learn how to safely identify and live around the two species of medically significant spiders native here to Florida, the Black Widow and the Brown Recluse. 

Program Details:

  • 1 Hour Presentation – $150* 
  • *Price does not include our travel fee and will vary depending on location. 

 

Danger in the Field 

Made for anyone who may come in contact with dangerous wildlife through their work, this presentation will give your employee the basic tools they need to work alongside wildlife in the safest way possible. Dangerous wildlife covered and described in this presentation are alligators, snakes, spiders, bugs, scorpions, and some plants. 

Program Details:

  • 4 Hour Presentation – $400 onsite at the OCIC, $500* offsite 
  • *Price does not include our travel fee and will vary depending on location. 

 

Venomous Snake Handling Training 

This program is intended for first responders or wildlife removal technicians. The training will give you the basics to get comfortable safely moving venomous snakes native to Florida. This hands-on training begins with a presentation describing the life history of venomous snakes in Florida and the ways of working with them. Then every member will get a chance to safely work up to four species of venomous snakes, receiving feedback and a helping hand from our experienced instructors the entire time.  

Program Details:

  • 4+ Hour Training – $50 a person, min/max group size is 10/20 people. 
  • Offered on or offsite for the same price as long as the offsite location is within Central Florida. Prices may increase with further travel.
