Party for the Planet!

April 22, 2023

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

3755 West Seminole Boulevard Sanford, FL 32771

Party for the Planet!

The Zoo will host a special conservation day—the Party for the Planet—in celebration of Earth Day on Saturday, April 22, which will include interactive activities, special enrichment for the animals and more. Guests can attend our part of the largest combined Earth Day celebration in North America and enjoy a scavenger hunt, games, crafts and more to inspire visitors to take action to care for the planet and its animals.

Plus, to make sure all can celebrate, the Zoo will also open one hour early for guests and families with sensory needs. Guests who have sensory needs can enter at 8 a.m., and from 8 to 9 a.m., the Zoo will have special operations to accommodate them, including limited attendance for quieter crowds; sensory bags available with noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools; and a dedicated classroom for safe space to take a break if needed.

Keeper chat schedule:

 8:30 a.m. – Keeper Chat at Cougar
10:30 a.m. – Keeper Chat at Macaw
11:00 a.m. – Keeper Chat at Chickens
11:30 a.m. – Keeper Chat at Iguana
12:00 p.m. – Keeper Chat by Splash Park
1:00 p.m. – Keeper Chat at Otter

The Zoo will open to the public at 9 a.m., and the Party for the Planet will continue until 3 p.m.

This event is included in general Zoo admission.
