Summer Camps! For Ages 5-12

Sponsored by A. Duda & Sons, Inc

Summer Break is going to be wild at the Zoo! This week, we have options for children 5-6, 6–8, and 9–12. All campers will get to experience up-close animal encounters, special visits around the Zoo, games, and activities!

ZOOper Zoo Keepers & Turtle Power (Ages 5-6) 5-day Camp

Campers will learn how Keepers care for the animals. It’s a big job, but there’s fun ahead as they experience life at the Zoo.

It’s time to go exploring as we search for turtles both large and small. We’ll discover where they live and how they grow. It’s turtle power to the extreme as we track them to their habitats!

Zooper Heros! & Jr. Ickyology (Ages 6-8) 5-day Camp

Spiderman, Batman, and Squirrel Girl? From fact to fiction campers will investigate the world of superheroes that have special animal abilities. Campers will choose their own animal superpower as they explore the animals that have inspired famous superheroes.

It’s time to get the inside scoop on gross-out facts about animals! From ooey to gooey, and sticky to stinky, this is a fun and “yuk!” filled camp for kids!

Ickyology & Build a Zoo Workshop (Ages 9-12) 5-day Camp

Enjoy the “yuk!” side of animal science, from dissecting owl pellets to examining tiny creatures under the microscope to making yummy carnivorous treats for the cats. This is the gross-out class of all time.

How do Zoo Keepers create natural habitats in zoos? Observe firsthand what it takes to design a zoo and participate in creating your very own. Learn why zoos play such an important role in saving animals around the world.
