Help us “Deck the Habitats”

Donate to help us keep our animals cozy

It’s no small task to meet the unique needs of more than 100 species from all over the globe. To help us do that, we’re aiming to raise $20,000 by the end of 2024 to “deck the habitats” of our animals with cold weather items to keep them warm all of 2025. Will you help?

Cooler temps, warm sweaters, holiday décor…for humans, it sounds pretty cozy. But for our animal residents and keepers, this time of year poses a challenge.

Luckily at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, we’ve come up with a solution for keeping our animals comfortable when it’s a little chilly. It includes cold weather curtains, heaters, and fans, both for our indoor and outdoor habitats.

Unfortunately, these items can be pricey. We are hoping to expand our collection of cold-weather items at the Zoo this year, and we’re asking for your help.

Can you support the Zoo with a tax-deductible, end-of-year gift?

Your gift supports our animals and our mission of creating connections that inspire people to take action for wildlife. Help us “deck the habitats” before 2025!

Thank you for helping warm our hearts this season!

Don’t forget, the Zoo is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit. So, between now and the end of the year is an ideal time to make a tax-deductible donation.

The whole team at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens appreciates your support, and we look forward to seeing you at the Zoo soon!

How You can Help

$100 Donation:

Could provide five space heaters to keep our small mammals warm.

$250 Donation:

Could provide two high-velocity industrial fans to distribute the warm air in the winter and the cool air in the summer for our macaws, turacos, kookaburras, and other bird species.

$500 Donation:

Could provide four infrared heaters to ensure our reptiles and amphibians never lack comfort.

$1000 Donation:

Could help provide one custom-fit cold-weather curtain to ensure the cold air stays out and the warm air stays in habitats like that of our Florida black bears, Ella and Guignard.

More Ways to Contribute

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account that allows donors to make a tax-deductible donation of cash, stock, and other assets to support the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens.

A grant from your donor-advised fund now can make an immediate impact. Even in challenging times, our mission – to create connections that inspire people to take action for wildlife – continues.

There are many companies and organizations that offer employee matching programs. These programs allow employees to give to the charity of their choice with the company/organization matching a portion of that gift.

Please check with your employer to see if you have a participating program that will match your gift to the Zoo. If your employer requires the Central Florida Zoological Society Inc.’s Employer Identification Number (EIN)/Federal Tax Identification Number, please use 59-1357197.

The most flexible way to make an estate gift to the Zoo is by including our organization in your will or trust. Bequests represent a significant future revenue source for the Zoo while also offering you the flexibility to control or make changes to your charitable plans in the future.
