Homeschool Family Workshops

Explore a new learning environment

Homeschool families can experience a wide variety of interactive programs at the Zoo, where the classroom comes to life! Up-close animal encounters, games, crafts, and activities are all part of this exciting learning environment. Choose from a variety of homeschool ZOOventure family workshops for children of all ages and adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

 


Time:  2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Annual Pass Holders:  $32.00 per Family

Non-Pass Holders:  $37.00 per Family

Pollinators are the planet’s food chain heroes, but many of them are in trouble. Let’s explore to learn more and discover how we can help!


November 19, 2025: Florida’s Wildlife Corridor

Florida’s wildlife corridors are critical to the survival of native plants and animals. We will journey across the state to see how the habitats connect, and learn why we need to protect them.


February 18, 2026: Sounds of the Wild

Communication can be critical to an animal’s survival in the wild. Discover how sound plays a vital role in saving species around the world.


April 22, 2026: Wildlife Heroes

Wildlife heroes, champions of the animal world, where does it all begin? Learn about people just like you and me that have bravely stepped forward to speak out for wildlife.


Safety Measures

For the health and safety of our animals, you and your child(ren) will be required to bring a mask to the education program and may be asked to wear it during the animal encounter or when going behind the scenes.


Program Registration

Registration is required at least one week in advance. Program size is limited. Programs are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of participants is not met one week before the program date. Refunds will not be provided for self-initiated cancellation once registration and payment have been processed. An adult must accompany children.
