AZA shares OCIC’s story for I ❤️ Eastern Indigo Day

On Feb. 8, the Zoo celebrated one of our favorite days: I ❤️ Eastern Indigo Day. This day is a recognition of the conservation story of the eastern indigo snake, something the Zoo’s Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation (OCIC) works on every day.
Dr. James Bogan, the director of the OCIC and program leader of SAFE Eastern Indigo Snake, wrote more about all of the OCIC’s efforts to save the emperor of the forest for the Association of Zoos & Aquariums.
