Central Florida Zoo Welcomes HomeLight as Sponsor of Radiated Tortoise Habitat

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens’ radiated tortoises have a lot of fans out there—and now they’re adding another to the list. HomeLight, a real estate tech company that empowers people to make smarter decisions when buying or selling their home, is the new sponsor of the radiated tortoise habitat.

As part of the sponsorship, the HomeLight logo will be featured on-site as well as online at the Zoo. The sponsorship helps the Zoo provide for the needs of its animal residents and create lasting learning opportunities for visitors.

“We’re so thankful to HomeLight for being our newest habitat sponsor at the Zoo,” said Dino Ferri, the Central Florida Zoo’s CEO. “We’re only able to carry out our mission to excite and inspire children and adults to learn and act on behalf of wildlife because of generous supporters like HomeLight. This is a perfect example of our business community showing their support for our Zoo.”

Radiated tortoises are particularly vulnerable to habitat loss in the wild and captive tortoises, such as the ones at the Zoo, help ensure that the species doesn’t go extinct.

The Central Florida Zoo has been working hard over the last year to make up for a deficit that occurred when the Zoo was forced to close for three months during its busiest time last year. Sponsorships like HomeLight’s help with the effort.

HomeLight empowers people to make smarter decisions during one of life’s most important moments: buying or selling their home. Their technology crunches the numbers to determine which real estate agent or which instant offer company will get you the most money for your home. They build products that put more power in your hands and make it easier to get the best outcome when you buy or sell a home.

The company powers more than 400 realtors in Florida and is dedicated to supporting community organizations like the Zoo.
