Meet the Zoo’s Mammals

Mammals are endothermic, produce milk for their young, and have hair. Sound familiar? That’s because humans are mammals! It’s easy to see that mammals can vary greatly, from the 150-ton blue whale to the only flying mammals, the bat.
The Central Florida Zoo cares for many mammals. We’re home to one of the fastest land mammals, the cheetah, as well as some of the tallest land animals, the giraffe. You can meet the majestic giraffes firsthand during our giraffe feedings! We also house several species of primates, including monkeys and lemurs.
